Jonah and the Whale - Bible Stories One of the most famous stories in the Bible is "Jonah and the Whale". In short, Jonah disobeys Gods will to go and preach to the people of Nineveh. As Jonah runs and tries to hide from God, we see God has other plans for Jonah, as a whale is sent by God and swallows him up.
After 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the whale Jonah realizes God is God, and his perspective changes about God's will for his life real quick.
Jonah finally goes to Nineveh and all the whole city ends up coming to God.
